两天前，年轻女子泰勒·克拉克（凯莉·奥弗顿 Kelly Overton 饰）接到一条来自陌生手机上的留言，留言者是她的妹妹杰西卡（韦恩·埃弗莱特 Wynn Everett 饰）。自母亲过世后，姐妹俩长达7个月未曾联系，妹妹带着哭腔的求助留言让泰勒心感不安。在无法联系到杰西卡的情况下，泰勒乘坐飞机来至纽约寻找妹妹。她走访了杰西卡的居住地、打工地点以及前男友布莱恩（大卫·普兰特 David Plant 饰），继而发现一切并非失踪如此简单。杰西卡似乎被卷入一个神秘的社团，泰勒为求真相，不得不深涉其中…...
