袁森（吴彦祖饰）是英国知名摄影艺术家，而在摄影展的前一日却接到母亲（惠英红饰）从香港的来电，告诉他孪生弟弟出意外死亡的消息。袁森返港后发现母亲再婚，继父是个黑人消防员。而他也遇到昔日曾经非礼自己的有恋童癖的陈校长（高雄饰）。弟弟的死因不明，只留下一本难解的禁书。母亲开始信基督，却仍旧战胜不了自己的心魔，袁森与其争执中发现了母亲当年猥亵弟弟的事实。袁森遇到当年自己在学校的同性恋人史云生（吴振宇饰），而云生如今已是知名电台节目主持人。袁森接到图书馆主的电话，得知弟弟借了几本书忘记还，他于是到了图书馆...
